Sunshine Coast, B.C. – General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield announced today that the team has committed to 2006-born goaltender Finn Morrison (New Westminster, BC).
Morrison (6’2”, 165 pounds) says, “I am super excited to be on the Tsunami! Every time I’ve played in Gibsons, the crowd has been amazing.”
“From the first introduction, to speaking with the management and coaches, it’s been a fantastic experience. I can’t wait for the season to start,” he exclaimed.
Morrison is expected to have a big role on the Tsunami sharing the crease with veteran goaltender Nick Peters.
“Finn was an absolute star last season for the New Westminster U18A1 team and AP of the Ridge Meadows Flames. Finn is exactly what the Tsunami we’re looking for with his larger frame and youth,” said General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield.
“We look forward to watching him develop playing with Nick and under Tsunami goalie coach Boston Bilous,” he added.
Morrison is the seventeenth player committed to playing for the new expansion franchise, the Tsunami, which will begin its preseason in August.
