For the first time in franchise history, the Coastal Tsunami (13-14-1-1) are traveling to the Burnaby Winter Club to play Aldo Bruno and the Grandview Steelers (12-14-2-0).
The Steelers have already been to the Sunshine Coast and pulled off a 1-0 shootout victory on September 28. Although the Tsunami lost that game, they did Record a shutout that night, as the goal they surrendered came after regulation time.
These two teams line up rather nicely and understand the importance of winning the game as the race to the playoffs heats up. Right now, the Tsunami hold down the fifth and final playoff spot in the Tom Shaw Conference, two points ahead of the Steelers. If Grandview wins tonight, they will pass the Tsunami in the standings thanks to having a 2-0 season series lead.
