Sunshine Coast, B.C. – General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield announced today that the team has committed to 2008-born forward Hudson May (Richmond, BC).
May (5 ’10”, 186 pounds) spent the past season with the Yale Hockey Academy U17 Prep team, posting six goals and three assists for nine points in 27 games.
The left-shot forward says he is honoured to be a part of the Tsunami this upcoming year as a 16-year-old.
“I believe this opportunity was because of my faith in my lord and saviour, Jesus Christ. I would like to thank my family and the development at Yale Hockey Academy under the mentorship of Mark Holick for helping me get here. And all the management of the Tsunami for believing in me.”
The Coastal Tsunami would like to welcome him to the organization.
“Coming in from the prestigious CSSHL Yale academy, look for him to bring speed, strong skating, and tenacity to the Tsunami attack next season!!!,” said Head Coach and General Manager Brad Wingfield.
May is the second of many players committed to playing for the new expansion franchise, the Tsunami, which will begin its preseason in August.
