IAN FOSTER COMMITS WITH TSUNAMI

Giancarlo Nadeau

Sunshine Coast, B.C. – General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield announced today that the team has committed to 2006-born defenceman Ian Foster (Williams Lake, BC).

Foster (5’8”, 162 pounds) spent the past season in the NWJHL with the Fort St. John Huskies. He suited up in 31 games and collected seven assists.

“I can’t wait to get started with the Tsunami and be part of an amazing and welcoming community,” said Foster.

The right-shot defenceman brings valuable junior hockey experience to the Tsunami.

“Comes out of our spring prospects camp where he impressed with playing with a calmness to his game, the ability to be relied upon defensively while making the small things in his play count along with the ability to distribute the puck quickly in transition,” he said.

Foster is the thirteenth player committed to playing for the new expansion franchise, the Tsunami, which will begin its preseason in August.
