Fifty years ago, there wasn’t much to do on the Sunshine Coast, with organized youth activities limited to schools.
However, all this changed in 1972 when a group of disappointed curlers came together after a failed referendum for a multi-sport complex at the Cliff Gilker site. With pieces beginning to fall into place, the next step of the building project was to have someone review the layout, and that’s when Jim Gray entered the picture.
