Matt Siddall brings more than a decade of professional hockey experience to his role as Assistant Coach with the Coastal Tsunami.
Born and raised in North Vancouver, Matt began his junior career with Port Coquitlam in the PIJHL before playing two seasons in the BCHL. He was later drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers and went on to an 11-year professional career that took him across North America and Europe, playing in Canada, the United States, Scotland, Croatia, Italy, Austria and Germany.
During his time playing professionally in Scotland, Matt also stepped into a player-coach role, gaining valuable experience behind the bench while continuing his playing career. His years competing across different leagues, countries and styles of hockey have given him a broad perspective on the game and a wealth of experience to draw from when working with players.
Matt has called the Sunshine Coast home for the past eight years, where he owns and operates Sidds Coast Exteriors. Now back in the game as a coach, he brings his professional experience, passion for hockey and commitment to player development to the Coastal Tsunami bench.
