Welcome everyone to the GBS CHARITY CLASSIC – Vancouver CANUCKS ALUMNI GAME. We’re here tonight to celebrate a new beginning for hockey on the Sunshine Coast. Junior hockey is coming, and we couldn’t be more excited!
We reveal our BRAND, name, colors, and logo tonight, and we want everyone to know we represent the Sunshine Coast from Langdale to Earl’s Cove. Our organization presents opportunities that never previously existed for young hockey players on the Coast. We recently hired Brad Wingfield as our Head Coach and General Manager, and I’m confident Brad will do an outstanding job recruiting not just talented hockey players but positive role models for the youth of our community. On the marketing side, we will be leaders in the PJHL – watch for important announcements in the weeks ahead. A Tsunami game will be an “event,” a place everyone will want to be.
We greatly appreciate the efforts of the Sunshine Coast Junior Hockey Society. Without their contributions, junior hockey would not be possible in our area. Please support their Building Project, which starts with in-arena improvements and the basic essentials, immediately adjacent to the GACC, to improve the overall user experience for everyone and accommodate a junior team beginning in September 2024.
This is YOUR team. We look forward to putting a product on the ice that is entertaining and a source of community pride.
TSUNAMI HOCKEY is here – get out and “RIDE THE WAVE”!
