Sunshine Coast, B.C. – General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield announced today that the team has committed to 2006-born forward Nole Pearson (Flin Flon, MB).
Pearson (5’10”, 155 pounds) played in the MU18HL with the Norman Northstars U18 AAA, where he posted four goals and nine assists for 13 points in 43 games. The left-shot forward also played in three KJHL games with the PBCN Selects.
The Manitoba product said, “It’s an awesome opportunity playing for the Tsunami here in Gibsons, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.” He continued, saying, “There’s lots of great pieces coming together to make this thing happen, and I’m itching to get things going.”
Pearson will add some youth and energy to the team.
“He will bring a quick transition and speed to our lineup and be expected to break out and chip in on the offensive side of things,” said General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield.
Pearson is the twenty-first player committed to playing for the new expansion franchise, the Tsunami, which will begin its preseason this month.
