Sunshine Coast, BC—Raydon Parkes’s jersey had a new letter on it during the game against Delta. The organization has named him its fourth alternate captain.

Parkes is now the fifth player to join the Coastal Tsunami’s inaugural leadership group for the 2024-25 season.

The 2005-born forward from West Kelowna, BC, has appeared in 14 of his team’s games and has registered seven goals and seven assists for 14 points.

“It means everything. We can help our Captain Nick out and hopefully push for a championship this year,” said Parkes when asked what it means to join the leadership group.

His biggest offensive outburst so far this season was a home game against the Aldergrove Kodiaks on September 22, when he scored a goal and had two assists.

The Coastal Tsunami is back in action this Wednesday in Langley and close out the month on Thursday in Chilliwack.
