Sunshine Coast, B.C. – General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield announced today that the Tsunami had acquired 2005-born forward Reegan Kominko (Shoal Lake, MB.) from the MJHL’s Waywayseecappo Wolverines in exchange for a player development fee before the trade deadline.

Kominko (6’0”, 170 pounds) started the season in the MJHL, playing 22 games while scoring once and securing five assists for six points.

Kominko looks forward to bringing his junior hockey skills to the PJHL with the Coastal Tsunami. “It’s an honour to put on the Tsunami jersey; I just want to do all I can for the fans and my teammates,” he said.

Kominko was acquired right at the trade deadline and is expected to have a big impact on his new team.

“We are very pleased to have closed the deal to land Minks right at the deadline. He will be a top-line and special team player for us, and we look forward to seeing what he can do to help the Tsunami attack,” said General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield.

The Coastal Tsunami would like to welcome Reegan and his family to the Sunshine Coast.
