Sunshine Coast, BC— The Tsunami (11-10-1-1) came out of Sunday’s game empty-handed, dropping a 4-1 decision to the Ridge Meadows Flames (18-2-1-0).
The game was scoreless until the final minute of the second period when James Eagle (8) and Zack Lagrange (24) scored to give the Flames a 2-0 lead going into the locker room. The goal from Lagrange came on the man advantage and was the first of three to come on the power play.
Ridge Meadows had two more goals in the following period from Lukas Ravenstein (14) and Theo Kochan (18) on power play attempts.
With 20 seconds remaining in the game, Patrick Dolan (6) spoiled the shutout that Matthew Candusso was expecting to have.
Next is a doubleheader against the Chilliwack Jets on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s game is scheduled for 7:00 pm, and tickets are available online and at the arena.
