The Coastal Tsunami had a chance to even their regular season series against the Delta Ice Hawks with a victory tonight, but things went in the opposite direction. Delta (10-4) took down Coastal (6-3-0-1) with an 8-2 win.
Mathieson (7,8), Jakubec (6), Sjoberg (16), Cross (6), Hainz (2), Bruckshaw (1), and Pilgaard-Kennedy (4) had the markers for the Ice Hawks.
Ethan Smid (6) and Ben Walker (4) had the only goals for Coastal.
Despite the loss, the Tsunami succeeded on the power play, going 1/2, and Finn Morrison made some big stops, but it was not enough to make a difference.
Coastal won’t have much time to dwell on this latest performance as the club is back in action tomorrow night in Langley.
