Sunshine Coast, BC—Good goaltending kept this game close for both teams, but ultimately, the Ridge Meadows Flames prevailed with a 3-2 victory.
Coastal trailed 3-0 heading into the third period and scored twice quickly, but the comeback bid fell a goal short.
The Flames were led by a pair of goals from Theo Kochan (25,26) and a single from Pierce Whyte (16).
The Tsunami had markers from Dawson Thomas (1) and Eric Stinson (13).
Coastal hits the road for two games next weekend and is back home on Friday, January 17, to host the North Vancouver Wolf Pack. Tickets are available online and at the arena.
