TSUNAMI MAKE THE SNOWFALL ON THE COAST

Giancarlo Nadeau

Gibsons, BC— Sunday marked the final home game before Christmas for the Coastal Tsunami (14-16-1-1), and what a game it was! In their first-ever Snowball Toss sponsored by Marino’s Independent Grocer, the home team defeated Port Coquitlam 3-1.

Both goaltenders played exceptionally well, and chances were exchanged both ways, but Coastal Vancouver scored two more goals and earned two more points in December.

Coastal had the Snowball Toss goal from Eric Stinson (7) and two others from Oliver Nottingham (13) and Jake Yakubowski (7).

The lone goal for the Trailblazers came off the stick of Markus Jack (18) on the man advantage. It was the only goal scored on the power play for either team.

Coastal is back in action on December 30, playing the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers in their final home game of 2024.
