Until Next Season, Tsunami Fam

After an exciting season, and an equally exciting playoff round, I’m sad to say the Tsunami season has come to an end.

Before we say see you next season, let’s recap the final game. Game 5 of the playoffs against the Delta Ice Hawks was a battle right from the start. The first period went back and forth, with goals from Deylan Watson and Lucas Lekakis. Neither team found the back of the net in the second, setting up for a tense third period.

The Tsunami struck twice in the third with goals from Luke Curtin and Spencer Huth, but unfortunately the Ice Hawks managed to edge ahead and take the win. We also saw some impressive goaltending from Brayden Burrows and Austin Kindrat. While it wasn’t the result we were hoping for, the Tsunami gave their fans some thrilling playoff hockey to close out the season.

As we wrap things up, we also bid farewell to our 20-year-olds, Rocky Nordvie, Lars Derstroff, Deylan Watson, Foxx McColl, Raydon Parkes, and Reegan Kominko, who have reached the end of their junior hockey careers. Thank you for your leadership this season and for giving us something to look forward to on Saturday nights.

With that, we’ll see you next season, Tsunami fam.

Pucks and kisses,
Sassy Tsu 🏒💙
