Sunshine Coast, B.C. – General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield announced today that the team has committed to 2006-born forward Spencer Uzzell-Paulos (Campbell River, BC).

Uzzell-Paulos (5’10”, 170 pounds) spent the past two seasons in the VIJHL with the Campbell River Storm. Last season, he registered a goal and eight assists in 38 regular season games with the Storm.

“I’m very excited to be a part of this organization and can’t wait to get on the ice with the team,” said Uzzell-Paulos.

The right-shot forward brings valuable junior hockey experience to the Tsunami.

“Spencer comes to us as the second player from the regular season VIJHL champs, the Campbell River Storm. He is another veteran presence known as a workhorse and poised for a breakout season,” said General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield. “He is just looking for an opportunity to enter a more predominant role. Spencer will get that opportunity with us, and the fans will love to watch this young man’s work ethic and competitive levels,” he added.

Uzzell-Paulos is the twelfth player committed to playing for the new expansion franchise, the Tsunami, which will begin its preseason in August.
