Sunshine Coast, British Columbia, February 6, 2024 –
Coastal Sports and Entertainment Group Ltd. is pleased to announce that Giancarlo Nadeau has been hired as the Director of Marketing/Media/Sales of the Pacific Junior Hockey League’s newest franchise, the COASTAL TSUNAMI based out of Gibsons, British Columbia. It will commence play in September 2024 for the 2024-2025 PJHL season.
Giancarlo Nadeau Highlights:
- Raised in North Vancouver
- Five years experience with the PJHL’s North Vancouver Wolf Pack as their Director of Media Relations and Marketing
- Media experience with the CFL’s Grey Cup Champions, the Montréal Alouettes
Rick Hopper, Director of Operations for the new junior hockey franchise on the lower Sunshine Coast, commented, “We are thrilled to have Giancarlo join our staff; he’s young, energetic, and comes with valuable experience, having worked in the PJHL for the past five seasons” adding “junior hockey is not only about developing players but also about developing people and providing opportunity in our business & hockey operations.”
Nadeau, who has been with the North Vancouver Wolf Pack for several seasons, commented: “I am very excited about this opportunity on the Sunshine Coast. I want to thank the Wolf Pack for allowing me to break into the PJHL and the ownership group on the Coast for having the confidence and belief in me to work with them.”
Nadeau added, “The Sunshine Coast deserves to have its own team, and I am ecstatic that they finally do! I can’t wait to play a part in bringing junior hockey to the Coast and showing the PJHL what the Coast has to offer.”
