Sunshine Coast, B.C. – General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield announced today that the team has committed to 2007-born defenceman Ethan Nordli (Nanaimo, BC).
Nordli (6’3”, 201 pounds) played two games in the VIJHL with the Oceanside Generals last season.
“I’m very excited to play with the Coastal Tsunami, ready to start the season. I’m looking forward to building a connection with the team and coaching staff,” he said.
The left-shot defender is expected to bring a strong presence on the back end.
“This is a big defender that skates extremely well for his size and adds another physical player to our line-up. He makes a great first pass and adds a hard and accurate shot from the point. Ethan has a great deal of potential that we expect to come to fruition this season,” he added.
Nordli is the sixth of many players committed to playing for the new expansion franchise, the Tsunami, which will begin its preseason in August.
