Back-to-Back Battles and a Packed Road to Playoffs

Jenise Powers - P2: Powers Photography

The Tsunami have a full dance card this week! They kicked things off with back-to-back games over the weekend, Saturday at home against the Langley Trappers and Sunday on the road against the Chilliwack Jets. While both games ended in tough losses, there were plenty of bright spots, including goals from Reegan Kominko, Spencer Huth, and two from Lucas Lekakis.

The busy schedule continues as the Tsunami head to Richmond to face the Sockeyes on January 29th, then return to Chilliwack (with a vengeance) on January 30th, before coming back home on the 31st to take on the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers. After that, the boys will enjoy a well-deserved break until February 7th, when they host the Burnaby Steelers.

We’ve officially reached that point in the season where our remaining home games can be counted on one hand… that’s right, Tsunami fam, just five home games left before playoffs. So now’s the time to pack the stands, get loud, and give the boys that hometown energy as they gear up for a playoff push.

Before I take my leave, a quick reminder about our fundraiser game for Michal Habetin on January 31st. Following the game (around 7:30), we’ll be hosting a social with both a silent and live auction, with all proceeds going directly to Michal. You don’t need a game ticket to attend the social, so everyone is welcome, come out and show your support!

Catch you soon,
