Sunshine Coast, BC— It took 50 years for there to be junior hockey on the Sunshine Coast, and the Coastal Tsunami (8-8-1-1) did not disappoint during tonight’s festivities. It was a 3-1 victory against the Abbotsford Pilots (9-8-2-0).
Raydon Parkes led the way offensively for the Tsunami with a two-goal outing, while Eric Stinson (3) rounded out the scoring for the home team. Connor Jarvis (12) had the lone goal for the Pilots.
The Tsunami scored two of their three goals on the man advantage, were perfect on the penalty kill, and stopped both attempts.
On Friday, the club is back in action to host the Port Moody Panthers for Salute to Service Night.
