Sunshine Coast, BC—The Coastal Tsunami were not able to beat the Delta Ice Hawks this season. The squad missed their last chance at a win in a 3-1 loss last night.
It was another solid effort from the Tsunami, who scored the first goal of the game courtesy of Raydon Parkes (18). It was 1-0 after 20 minutes.
The Ice Hawks scored the equalizer at the 6:33 mark thanks to Grady Lenton (24), and Brogan Pilgaard-Kennedy (18 SH) recorded the go-ahead goal just as the buzzer went to end the second period.
Tye Hemenway (10) secured an empty net goal with less than a minute of regulation play remaining.
Coastal is back home on Friday, January 31, to host the Grandview Steelers. Tickets are available online and at the arena.
