For the first time since September 7, the Coastal Tsunami (4-1) take to the road for a meeting against the Delta Ice Hawks (5-3). This game will mark the first-ever contest against these two teams. Puck drop is set for 7:30 pm at the Ladner Leisure Centre.

Mateo Sjoberg comes into tonight’s game as the points leader for the Delta Ice Hawks. The right-shot forward has seven goals and seven assists for 14 points in eight games. 

 

Sjoberg is tied for second in the PJHL for most points with Flames forward Nolan Bowsher (6-7-7-14). Leading the way is 2005-born forward Zack Lagrange with eight goals and nine assists for 17 points in six games.

 

The product of Surrey, BC, is in his final season of junior hockey and second year with the Ice Hawks. He had 28 goals and 24 assists for 52 points in 40 regular season games last year and will play his 49th regular season game tonight.

‘WALK’ THE TALK

Ben Walker is entering his first full season in the PJHL and is looking really good. The Gibsons, BC, native scored his first goal with the Tsunami on Sunday and has four assists for five points through his team’s first five games. 

 

The former AP of the Delta Ice Hawks is excited to face his former team. He had two goals and two assists for four points in eight games last season.

After tonight’s game, the Tsunami will not be back until October 8 when they visit for the final time during the regular season. Delta has ferry reservations for October 26 and January 19.
